Dimitri van Agterveld obtained his PhD in Materials Science at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, in 2001. After having worked in the automotive industry, Dimitri joined AkzoNobel’s Research & TechnologyCenter in 2003.

In 2006, Dimitri moved from the high-end analytical department, where electron microscopy on nanocomposites was a main task, to the Product Technology Group, in which a significant amount of R&D towards AkzoNobel’s Perkalite products is performed. He is currently R&D project leader Perkalite, while working on some other projects.
